TOKIO, September 26. Tho damage caused by tho typhoon is estimated at £4,000,000. Tho crops are ruined.
Tho Tvieko Maru foundered at En6liu. The crew and passengers perished.
The harbours of Osaka and Nagoya wore demolished. Twenty thousand houses at Osaka were wrecked.
Two hundred and sixty-two persons were killed and 283 injured at Gifu.

TOKIO, September 27. Tens of thousands of families are homeless at Gifu and Aichi. The streets collapsed wholesale. Temples, theatres and schools were wiped out and forests disappeared. Four hundred fishermen were drowned at Sappono.
