IMPORTANT RESOLUTIONS. (By Telegr<>"V -jpres? Asscr.ation.) WELLINGTON, Last Night, The tenth annual conference of the iNew Zealand Employers' Federation was cn in? hided to-day. The 'following resolutions were carried: "That this Federation supports the request of the Furniture Workers Association re the regulation of the emplyoment of Chinese in furniture factories ; that the Government be approached in regard to having all goods sheds kept open for the receipt of goods t.ihl 5 p.m. on week days, and 1 p.m. on Saturday ; that the Government be urged to amend the Wages Protection and Contractors Lien Act. 1908, in t.V> direction of making ft .compulsory for the sub-contractor as well as the contractor to enforce tlve -provisions in clause 60, and also to point out that, the Act is inoperative so far as clause 60 is concerned ; that this conference of New Zealand Employers' Federation recommend to the Government for its serious consideration the offer of the Ethelburga- or any other syndicate to develop the iron industry of the Dominion; that the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, be amended bv reinserting the words deleted by the 1910 amendment Act, clause 3. and . also that clause <t of section 6 be reinserted."
