Messrs James Macintosh and Co. report having received the following ("iDio message from their London agents, under date of the 24th September, 1912: "At tho wool sales today prices for medium and fine advanced 3 per cent,, for coarso the advance was i': - orn 5 to 71 ;ier cont." ,

The -Vow Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received ilie following cablegram from their London Jicuso: "Wool Sales —There was n full attendance at the opening of the sale;; to-day, ..competition by Home and Continental buyers being active, and prices as compared with the close of preceding series ruled in se.Jlern' fnvour. Tho opening catalogues* were not representative. As compared with last sales closing rates prices are higher about par to 5 per cent fine crossbred, medium crossbred, merino. As compared with last sales dosinjr rates prices aro .higher about .1 to 7], per cent crossbred coarse. Wool suitable for .America has not been offered." .
