Codling \ (St. Albans) 7, T. Codling (St. Allans) 8, C. J. James (Marshland) 9, ' E. J. O'Connor (St. Albans) 10, G. Gartley (Alexandra South) 11. H. Gibson (Ghristehnreh) 12, A. Daniel-son (Palmerston North) 13, G. Wallace (Mataura) 11, B. V. Young (Winchester) 15, W. J. Lockhard (Ashburton) 10, Wall (Walswoll) 17, Martin (St. Albans) 18, M. O'Donogliue (Timaru) 19, W. Williams (Waddington) 20. H. Henderson's (Wanganui) time, 5 Jiorurs, 20 minutes, 31 seconds, was the best time, and is about 10 minutes better than the existing record. E. Wall got the second'fastest time in 5 hours, 22 minutes, 27 seconds. The winner is hventy-foiir vears of a.<_'e, and started, .in races in 1909 and 3910. H. G. Cook, who finished just behind the winner, was riding in a road race for the first time.
