Advices hav« been received from the Vicar Apostolic in Eastern Chi-Kiaug, a Chinese Province, to tho effect that a typhoon has devastated entire towns and villages. Fifty thousand persons have bco.'i drowned, and one. hundred thousand families have be-on ruined.
