Bateg is&ued the following report from the .meteorological office on Saturday:— Winds veering to southerly, heavy gale. Very stormy weather may be expected, for storm appears to be' approaching from tho south. Tho weather will probably become very cold. Rain . probable, and snow on high country. Barometer rising fast ;:fter about sixteen hours.
