THE WOOL MARKET. Messrs Dalgoty and Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London office under date September lGth : —Wool gales—The list of arrivals i-i closed, and all your wools Imve arrived in time. The new arrivals amounted to 170,000 bales ci which 5G,000 bales have been forwarded direct to manufacturers at Homo and abroad, 2;'),000 bales carried forward from last sale, leaving 140,000 ■:alc, .:va:'.ab!.. fa; .sale. PA THAT IF A STOCK SALE. ' Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: —We offered only a moderate yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. Wo experienced akeen demand for all classes of stock, and practically a total clearance was effected at top values. Quotations : Storo wethers 18s Cd, store owes 13s'Id, small hoggets 12s sd, fat steers £6 lis, fat heifers £5 ss, dairy cows £4 17s 6d to £7 2s 6d, cows in calf £3 15s to £4 7s, empty cows £2 8s Gd to £3 17s, springing heifers £5 15s to £7 12s Gd, 2-year empty heifers £4 ss, young bulls £3 8s 6d to £3 10s. The X. Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and Reduced, report on their weekly sale, held in the P.F.A. saleyards yesterday, ai follows:—There was only a medium yarding of sheer, and cattle came forward, although the weather war. vers' rough ' and boisterous. Lato prices were maintained. We have to report a I good clearance at the folowing rates: ' Fat and forward ewes 15s 3d. fat wethers 18s, hoggets (small) 10s 6d, yearling heifers £2 17 s to £3'ss. yearling bulls £2 12s, cows with calf at foot £3 5s to £4, store cows £3 to £4. .
