NEW ZEALANDs FIUECASI ; (By Telegrapn—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates,'of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:— West to routhwef.'ierly winds have prevailed, strong to gale in parts, but decreasing to-day, while the weather has considerably improved. The barometer has risen everywhere. Present indications are i'pr moderate to stong westerly winds generally, but squally at times in Cook and Foveatik Straits. Fair to cloudy weather is probable generally, with some local nhowors, espeically on the West Coast and southernmost districts.. The barometer has a rising tendency, but i« due to fall again after about 21 hours.
