Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:— Stormy westerly weather has beim experienced generally, but especially | in the north and West Coast districts. I The barometer has continued very low in the south. Present indications are for westerly winds, strong to gale, with a slight southerly tendency after about tivcutykours. Heavy rain probable on all i the western co;v-t, with rivers r r sing ' ;ind unsettled weather, with rain proI bable generally. The barometer has a falling tendency everywhere. There • aro indications for electrical disturbances.
