EKETAHUNA STOSIv SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report. on their usual fortnightly sale, held at Eketahuna on Friday, 13th inst. : —Our entry was in excess of advertised numbers. Only a few pens of sheep caino forward. Our cattle entry again consisted principally of dairy stock, which sold at well up'to recent sales reports. Forward springing heifers, of which we had a fai rentry, sold readily, and we had a good clearance at the following list of prices. Fat 4-tooth wethers 21s 6d to 23s 9d, store 4-tooth wethers 17s to 19s 3d, springing heifera £5 to £7 4s 6u, springing dairy cows £5 to £6 2s 6d, yearling Holstein and Jersey cross heifers to £4 6s, empty cows to £4, speyed heifern to £5 6s.
I'he N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and Reduced, report on theic Eketahuna sale, held ©n Saturday : —We submitted a fair yarding of cattle to a good attendance of the public; bidding for all classes of cattle was spirited, and we havo to report a total clearance. We quote: Dairy cows £5 10s to £ll 10s, springing heifers £5 to £7 10s, 2-year steers i£4 9s, weaners £2 15s, storo cows £2 10a to £3 ss.
HOME MARKETS. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following 'cabled information from their London office under dato 12th inst.: — Tallow.—Since our last telegram fine beef and mutton is 3d to 6d per ewt higher, good coloured mixed i's from par to 3d higher, low and inferior descriptions also show an advance of 3d to 6d, but gut is from par to 3d per cwt lower. Frozen Meat.—Tho market is firm owing to the small supply, but the demand is checked by the high prices. Mutton—Market is very firm; since our last telegram prices are id to id per lb higher. Lamb —Shows an advance of l-16d to id. Beef—Prices are id per lb higher.
