GERMAN DEFENCES
(Received September 14, 9.50 a.m.) BERLIN, September 13, It has been decided to connect Westerl.uicl, on the Sylt Island, with Schifeswig-Holstein, by an embankment costing a quarter of a million pounds, in order to prolong the mainland railway, with a view to fortifying and garrisoning the island.
