Steppe (Imp.), dam of £>tepniak, is by Saunterer (vvinnor of Champagne Stakes, Goodwood and Brighton Cups) out of Seclusion, dam of Hermit (winner of Derby in 1887. Armilta (dam of PETER PAN) is a member of the successful Locket family, and to which belongs Thunderbolt (for many years a successful 6ire in South Australia), Medallion (sire of Achilles, etc.). Necklace, the dam of Cravat (Metropolitan Stakes winner), Collarette (dam of Collarit). Armilla (dam of Peter Pan) is a full sister to Cravat and Collarette, by imported Castor, whose progeny have won about £IOO.OOO in stakes. PETER PAN was bred by Mr J. F. Reid, amd as a yearling brought 575 guineas, which was top price at the sale.
