A HATPIN ASSAULT

A young woman named Josephine* Kenn'elly," charged with assaulting James Potts with a hatpin, causing .him serious bodily harm, appeared jit the Magistrate's Court to-day, and was remanded to enable the evidence of the police and medical attendant to be taken at Tapanui. Inspector Norwood stated that Potts was in n, serious condition.
