A CRIMEAN VETERAN
. AND HIS MARRTAGE. CPIRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Mr J. Drysdale Wilson, 82 years of , age, a survivor of the famous charge of the ".Six Hundred" at Balaclava, was married a week ago to a lady (seven years his junior. Mr Wilson was born in Edinburgh, ■■ and 53 years ago came to New Zealand. Forty-five years ago he joined the 10th Royal Hussars. Ho arrived [in the Crimea on the eve of the foattle of Balaclava, and was in the famous charge. Mr Wilson saw other service than in the Crimea, and possesses three war medals for service in India, the Crimea, and in Turkey. ' When His Majesty the King, who I iva<; then Duke of York and Cornwall, was in New Zealand, he conversed wjith Mr' Wilson, who ho said was,.", member of his father's old regiment.
