TO-DAY'S WEATHER
NEW ZEALANDS FORECAST (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Batee, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:— The barometer has fallen very low the South,'and an extensive area qf. I low pressure has enveloped the country. Gales have been experienced -in. ' several parts, and the weather has been very unsettled, with heavy rain on the West Coast; but'the conditions have up to the present proved milder than anticipated. | Present indications for westerly f incls. -strong to gale; veering to southerly. The barometer is very un: steady, but is due to rise everywhere soon. Cloudy and unsettled weather, ( with rain, i,= probable generally. Snow ! may be expected on the higher levels j in the South, and a short-spell of colder weather generally.
