wykeham-N:Able company
Describing tlie performance of "Who's William P" by the Wykeham.Nable Comedy Company, which appears in tho Masterton Town H,ill on Friday evening next, the Wellington Post sdvs: —Admittedly "Who's William ?" is the best thing in the company's repertoire, so far as Wellington has had any evidence. "Who's- 1 William?" a farcical comedy by Harry Carver, is quite good business all the time, and it was played last evening with exhilirating .freedom and dash. The dialogue is bright and chippy, tlx company generally actively bright and chippy, too, and the result is two or I three hours' of really enjoyable fun- , making. There is not space to outi line the whole story, but people fond [of a rollicking evening at the theatre j should ask themselves "Who's WTil- | liam ?" .and go to the Opera. Homse I and find out. Mr It. Wykeham has j the "star" role—Frank Hawtrey, and | the p:irt is in excellent hands. Mr Wyteham's comedy is never too obstrusive. and'his performance last night would have well pleased the author of the ece. It was intelligent and clearcut comedy. As Jack Carruthers Mr [Mjx Moutesoje did h:s best work c* | the season. - .He acts confidently, and | a little extra finish added last evening to -a' clever characterisation.- Mis* Ohetwynd ngam scored, and. Misfi Pressy, Pi-ostcn made a vivacious, welldressed Mrs Carruthers, a'id sang a couple, of songs that brought encores. Miss Ida Ingenpll. was happily placed, as were Mr Charles Thorsby, M" Edwar: 1 Nable, Mass Cazalla, and Mr Las!:.. .f«k.
