WELLINGTON, Last Night
The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:—
The weather has been generally overcast, with rain and mist in most parte of the Dominion. The winds have been easterly and moderate to strong generally. The barometer hay been unsteady witli a falling tendency in the South.
Present indications are for wild and stormy weather shortly. These conditions will become more threatening everywhere, especially in the South. Rain will probably be general, with snow on the higher levels, and hail' and sleet at times in the .South. Variable winds will probably give way shortly to increasing northcrlies, with the barometer falling very low in the South about Sunday.
