B2ARD OF TRADE REGULATIONS
INCREASED BOAT ACCOMMO-
DATION.
(Received Last Night 11.15 o'clock.) LONDON, September 5.
The Board cf Trade regulations will opera-to from January Ist, and provides that foreign going passenger and cargo vessels must be provided with sufficient lifeboat accommodation for all aboard. "Die number of boats and davits depends on the length of the vessel instead of the tonnage. The existing eollapsibles must be replaced by lifeobats. Tho rule for decreasing the number of boats, where there are efficient watertight compartments provided, lias been abrogated, . while steps will be taken to securo efficient boathands.
