Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report: Wo held our monthly sale of wool, skins and hides to-day, when we submitted a catalogue of 10 bales of wool, 00 bags of wool, 2300 sheepskins, 200 hides, and a, quantity of tallow and rabbitskins. I hero was a full attendance) of buyer:; and bidding was keen at full market rates. Sheepskins—Best crossbred 7t|d to Sd, inferior crossbred Gid to 7sd, lambs 7d, dtuny crossbred -Is 4d to 7s 2d, half wools -lid to 6d, quarter wools 4Jd, pelts 3:ld, dead crossbred to 6Ad, dead lambs 4sd to Gd. Hides — Ox (3d to Gid, cow 5-id to Gkl, best calf lOjd to 113 d, cut calf 7-£ d to 8-Jj-d, horse 6s 3d to 7s Gd. Tallow —Casks 26s Gd per cwt, tins 22s Gd to 21s per ewt, rough fat 18s per cwt. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and reduced, report 011 their usual periodical wool, skin and hide sale as follows: — We submitted *1 fair catalogue to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition for all good sorts was teen, and the price:; realised were if anything a little higher than those obtained at our last sale. We quote as follows: Wood —Crutchings, 3id for inferiorlots, 43 to 6'id for the better classes; crossbred wool, 6id to 7:?-d; locks and pieces, 3Jd to 4d. Skius —Crossbred good well woolled skins 7\c\ to 7|d; seedy crossbred, 4-|d to Gd; inferior sorts, 4id to Gd. Hides —Cow 4;ld to Gird, ox (medium quality) to 6-2 d, calf 7id to 103 d. We had no butchers' lines offering.

The W.F.C.A. report: Wo held our iilio lit hi y wool, skirj, and hide sale yesterday. There was a big - attendance of buyers, and prices realised were well up to ruling rates. We offered 1500 skins, 12 bales wool, 50 hags do, and '2OO hides, and a large quantity of tallow, horse hair, and rabbit skins. We quote as under: Wood —Fleece 7£d, dead 71d, erutchings 6d. Skins —Half wools (fine) 7sd, crossbred,s Bd, half wools 7 ; \d, hoggets 7d, hoggets shorn 6£d, quarter wools Gd. Hides —Cow 6d to 6|d, calf good 103 d, calf slippy Sd, horse liides up to 9s 3d; horse hair Is 3^-d; rabbitskins Is sd; tallow 24s to 26s 6d. Our next sale will be held on October 16tli, and wo are now receiving conjsignmenta for same.

WAIPOUA SALE. Messrs James Macintosh and Co. report having held their usual weekly sale in their Masterton (Waipoua) yards on Wednesday, September 4th, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep and a go#d yarding of cattle, to a largo number of buyers. Competition, throughout the sale was faiily good, and practically the whole yardiiyg was sold. Quotations are as follows : Shorn hoggets 14s lOd, ewes in lamb 15s to IGs.. 2 and 4-tooth wethers 19s, yearling heifers £2 7s (xl to £'3, yearling steers 38s to 575, store cows £3 to £4 3s, .springing heifers £4 15s to £5 12s Od, 18 months steers £3 2s Gd.
