TO-DAY'S FUNERAL. The funeral of tho late Mr J. H. Pauling will leave his late residence at Kuripuni for the Masterton Cemetery at 2.30 p.m. to-day. The ceremony. at the graveside will be performed by the R<ev A. T. Thompson, 8.A., B.D. A large and representative gathering of directors of the Wairarapa Caledonian Societies and members of local bodies, over which Mr Alex. McLeod presided, was held yes-
terday afternoon, when arrangements were made in connection with the funeral. .Superintendent»Jenkins, Captain Dixon, and Messrs F. J. Hunn and R. Mcßae were appointed marshals of the procession, to act in conjunction with the funeral director (Mr G. Hyde). With the approval of the family, it was decided that the coffin be placed on a firo engine and covered with the Scottish flag. Em-

Hausmann, ■R. Buick and W. D, Watson at the graveside. . Tho Caledonian Pipe Bard will play a Inrrcnt as the cofmi leavofi tho house. The procession will then be formed and tho massed bands and Pipe Band will play funeral marches on the way to the cemetery. The order of procession will be as follows: PJma B?,!id, Foresters, Druids, Oddfelkws, Fiv-amaaons, h:a-rse, relatives, chief mourners.
