POLICE AND BURGLARS
THREE OF THE FORMER IN-
JURED

LONDON, September 2.
A serious revolver fight took place between, the police and five housebreakers at Hagen, Westphalia, Prussia. Three policemen were severely wounded.
The burglars threw a wounded comrade into the river to prevent him giving information, but the police rescued him. The man afterwards died, but before his death revealed the names of his accomplices, some of whom have been arrested.
