NORTHERN CHARMER is a dark bay with black points, and was foaled on December lath, 1905. He has many points to recommend h:m aa a sire. He h«6 splendid feet and; pasterns, plenty of good flat bone, good action, and a sound constitution with a very docile temper. Northern Charmer is not ono of those big awkward elks that farmers try to avoid, but i« a splendidly proportioned horse, possessing great muscle and strength in a fairly small compass. The judge (Mr J. Baxter) at the Mastorton A. and P. Show, 1909, gave Northern Charmer special praise for his splendid feet, and considered him a model for a farmers' class cf stallion. He was awarded 2nd prize in the 3-ye:ir-o!d •class at the Masterton A. and P. Show, 1909, and also 3rd prize for 3 vein- and over at tho Woodville A. and P. Show, 1909. Northern Charmer was got by thai i well-known horse Fernside-r-by Pride of Strathmore, by Extinguisher. Fernside's dam Darling, by Nil Desperandmn.
