The administratrix in tlie estate of H. Nitz (deceased) requested advice as to transferring Sections 5, 7, and 9, Block IV, Kaiwhata, to two of the beneficiaries. —Tt was resolved to advise that the application will be agreed to. J. Yalois applied to transfer Section 13, Block TV, Aohanga, 308 acres, to P. C. Sorensen. —It was resolved to
approve. D. O'Sea applied to transfer Sec- ' tioii 2, Block I, 'Humui. 203 acres, to H. P. Jakobseii. —It was resolved to postpone for further consideration. The following selectors gave notice of intention to purchase the fee simple of lease-in-pcrpetuity land: — John 11. tPowell, Section '156, Malum V.S.J.John H. PowclL Section 157, Malairi V.sN; Jane Powell, Section 158, Makuri V.S. —It ,was resolved to appoint Mr J. B. F. Sutherland to be appraiser, for the valuations. The appraisement of the fee simple of Section 9 } Block X, Mt, Cerberus, held by K. Gunter, was re-
ported. Mr R. V. Forster applied to sublet Sections 36, 37, 38. 39, 42, 43, 44. .45, Block 11, Makuri (Makairo V.S.), 90 acres 2 roods 12 perches, to H. Coston and F. Forster. —It was resolved to approve on the usual conditions. ,
0. T. Nordell applied to sub-let Section 32, Block Vli, Tararua, 200 acres, to D. R. Wells. —It was resolved to approve subject to usual conditions and payment of promissory notes fcr grass seed.
Tho ranger reported on an application from the Akitio County Council to take metal from Section 19b., Block I, Aohanga. ]t was resolved to resume two acres under Section 144 of tho Lands Act, 1908, for a gravel pit with a right-of-way thereto, o0 links wide, provided an arrangement is made between the Council and tenant to the, satisfaction of tho Board.
John Bonis applied to be exempted from residence on Section 14, Block IX, Himua, and take his children to I school at Owhango. The Steward's l report was read. It was resolved to
decline. B. C. Sniith explained with regard to non-residence on Section 06, Pahiatua V.S., and asked for permission to sub-let for 12 months. It was resolved to grant him permission to sublet for twelve months. The Commissioner submitted a schedule of leases of education reserve.? which expire on December 31st next. I It was resolved to obtain reports and valuations from the Rangers, in order to enable the Board to consider the questions of renewals. '1 he Commissioner having notifiwl the Board that a road had been properly closed in Section 3, Block VIII, Huangarua S.D. (Longbush Settlement), it was resolved to call in and amend the lease by the inclusion of
the portion of closed road. The Commission*"- Imrinr; notified tho Board that roads had boon properly taken and closed through Section 3, Block XI, Hunn- S.D.. Halmpukn Settlement, it was resolved to call in and amend the lease, accordingly.
