WEDDING
HAMILL—HANLEY. A wedding in which a good deal cf local interest wap centred, took place at St. Patrick's Church, Mastertou, yesterday morning, the contracting, parties being Miss Kate Hanley, second daughter of the late Mr James Ha.nley. and Mrs Hanley, cf Masterten, and Mr P.rtriok Hamill, son of the late Mr Owen Hamiil, of Carrick Macroso, County Moncglian, Ireland, j
The bride was attended by her younger sistery Misses Maggie and Ellen Hanley as bridesmaid.?, and was given away by her brother, Mr J. Hanley. Mr W. J. Vernon, Carterton, was best man, and Mr James Hanley, brother of the bride, was groomsman. . The bride w.is
charmingly dressed in ivory satin, with court train, trimmo dwith silk insertion, the customary veil and orange blossoms being worn. The bridesmaids wore prettily attired in radianta trimmed with silk insertion. ' The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold bangle set with diamonds, and the., bride's present to the bridegroom wa? a pair of gold -chased sleeve links. The bridesmaids received gold pendants set with turofuoi.se and pearls. Miss Ruby i'Vest played the Wedding March.
After the ceremony a iTTrge party was entertnin'ed at the residence cf the bride's mother.
A large number of useful and costly prosontci were received. Mr and Mrs Hamill Jeft in ' the evening for Auckland where the honeymoon will be spent.
In the evening a reception was held in the Exchange Hall, ■when the friends of the happy couple were present iu l.:rge numbers.'
