MASTERTON RACING CLUB
MEETING OF STEWARDS. The monthly mooting of stewards of the Ma«sterton Racing Club was held on Saturday afternoon, thore being present: Messrs C. F. Vallance (chairman, R. Buick, G. H. Yates, P. Harrison, W. Cooper, H. Douglas, Frank Dorset ) Fred. Dorset, C. J. Bennett A. G. Pilmer, J. Whittaker, J. -An?ara, and J. B. -Hoodie. The programme of the next race meeting a?, drawn up by the programme committee, was adopted.
It was reported by Mr C. F. V-nl-lance tha-t lie had seen Mr O'Connor, who had agreed to act as starter to the club at a foe of 10 guineas per day. 'The secretary reported th.it satisfactory train arrangements had been made in connection with the Spring meeting.
It was resolved to reduce the charge for loose boxes for visiting horses to 10s for thi;.i meeting only. .. It was deciclod to appoint Detective Waldcn as racecourse detective on r.ico day.
The treasurer reported a debit balance of £695 19s Bd.
