LONDON, August 24. The overseas section of the Imperial General Staff now consists of Colonel Robin (New Zealand), Colonel Thackor (Canada) and Colonel Legge (Australia). It is expected that South Africa will shortly send jyi officer. A Renter's representative interviewed General Beyer?, of South Africa, who is visiting England to discusg a defence' scheme costing half a million, /ill South Africans, he says, realise their responsibility for partially or entirely relieving the British taxpayer of the burden of defence. The registration of all citizens for military service begins in January. The Coart defence will be available for the Imperial navy in any part of the Empire. The present naval contribution will continue.
