BOMBAY, August 24. Tho term -of Sir G. S. Clarke's Governorship of Bombay has been extended for six months. He will then ba succeeded by Lord Chelmsford. THE REPORT DENIED. (Received This Morning 12.24 o'clock.) SYDNEY, August 25. Lord Chelmsford states that there ib no foundation i>» the cable that he has been appointed Governor of Bombay.
