Suffragettes entered his hotel and erased his assumed name from thevisitors' book. Suffragettes also accosted him in the streets. He received no detective protection.
THE PETHICK LAWRENCES. (Received August 2'5, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 22. Mr and Mrs Pethick Lawrence, th*. well-known militant suffragists, aro at present touring Canada. Their residence has been entored and their furniture seized by the Treasury's instructions in payment of costs of the« recent suffragist conspiracy trial, as a result of which Mr and Mrs Pethick. Lawrence and Mrs Pankhurst weresent to prison.
