WASHINGTON, August 19. The wooden schooner R. L. Tay, 152 tons gross, laden with lumber, was wrecked on the Rhode Island coast. Five men were for an entire day in the rigging, with seas dashing over them. The life-savers at Greenhill Station fought for hours to reach them. A. life-boat finally got to the vessel, and all were saved.
