TARATAHI SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Taratahi sale as i'i Ilows: —Only two pens of sheep came forward, but our yarding of cattle exceeded advertised numbers. Of the latter class of stock we offered some choice lines of forward springing heifers, which were in keen demand. A special entry on account of Mr S. Dalgleish being, much admired, and sold up to £lO os. Genuine dairy stock throughout sold readily, especially early calvers, but backward and inferior sorts were not inquired for. Following is a list of prices realised : Ewes in lamb lis 4d to 12s 6d, yearling heifers £2 to £3 9s, 18-months to 2-year empty heifers £3 7s to £4, 2-J----to 3-year steers £5, empty cows £2 10s, £3 12s 6d to £4, fat cows to £5 os, dairy cows, sound, £5 to £8 10s, springing heifers £5 5s to £lO ss. Horses, 4-year-old dog cart gelding £l9, 5-vear-old spring cart, ditto. £'l4 ss. Pigs. 33 slips 10s to'l6 s 6d, 21 porkers 30s, 2 sows in pig £3 ss.
