(To the Editor Wairarana Ago.) Sir, suggestion in to-day's Age that it should he an offence for a member of Parliament to contribute to socials, chubs, sports, 'bazaars, and the like is a good one and ought to be enforced. J. am not a member of Parliament, but if I wanted to be a candidate, what chance would L a poor man' have against ™ opponent who'was-known to be able to live without his honorarium, and was prepared to donate it to sports meetings? I wouldn't mind taking on the job if I o-ot mv free railway pass and could have the full benefit of the £3OO. Please, Mr Editor, do what you can to bring about an amended Act so that I can get a chance'to stand as a candidate.—f am, etc., HARD-TIP. Masterton, August 19th, 1912.
