METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL
SCRIPTURE EXAMINATIONS,
The annual scripture examinations "in.-connection with the Wellington District Sunday School Union were held in July last-, and the.results are now to haiid. Twelve scholars in the Masterton Methodist Sunday School entered for the examination, and ten succeeded in passing. Five obtained first prizes and certificates, and the other five second and third-class certificates. Following are the marks obtained: — Grade 2.—Olive Elizabeth Wooding, 53 marks. Grade 3.—lda Elizabeth Anderson (Ist prize), 91 marks; Ethel May Madeley (Ist prize), 76 marks ; NellaLila Pragnell (Ist prize), 75 marks; William Douglas,. 67 marks; Baden Benjamin Williams, 64 mark's; Jessie Miller, 45 marks. Grade 4 Dora Eileen Kyle (Ist prize), 79 marks'; Violet Fly (Ist prize), 75 marks; Marjorie Daniell. 53 marks; Walter Tyacke, 27 marks; Rita Alexander Elliott, 25 marks. The possible number of marks obtainable was 100; 75 marks secured first prize and first-class cbertificatcs; 60 (secured second-class certificates, and 40 third-class. It will be seen that the good average of 61 marks was obtained.
