fn St. Matthew's Clr.ircli, Masterton, yesterday afternoon a wedding, in which much interest ■ was centred, was solemnised, the contracting parties being Miss Julia Martha W<»-1-dington, eldest daughter of Mr E. H. Waddingtou, of Masterton, and Mr Henry Theodore Thompson, of Woilington. The Rev*. H. Williams, of St. Matthew's Church, conducted the wedding service. The bride was girrr. away by her father, and wag. charrr.ingly attired in a white brocaded si! t gown, and a beautiful veil of Bmcpels lace, with the customary orange blossoms and bouquet. Four bridesmaids attended the bride. M.iss Wilhelmina Waddingtou. sister of the bride, and Misp Helen McLaurin, consin, were prettily dressed in floral muslin and lace cap?. Miss Jes«ie Waddingtou, sister of the bride, and Miss Catherine Ball, Napier, wore hook muslin frocks. The four bridesmaids carried baskets of violets. Mr Bristowe Waddingtou was- best man. and Mr Terran't. of Wellington, wv> groomsman. After the marriage ceremony the company was entertained by Mr and Mrs Waddington at their residence in Church Street, after which Mr and Mrs Thompson left for the north by motor. Mr and M>~. Thompson will in future reside in Dunedin, to which town Mr Thompson was recently promoted to a position in the Audit Department. Tli-.v young couple received numerous useful and valuable presents).
