MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly meeting of the above was held on Friday, when the President, Mr K. Eagle, 'jr., presided over an attendance of about 20 members. Motions of thanks were adopted tocording hearty votes of thanks to 111 »> various donors, including Wellington firms.
A letter was road from Mr Archibald, stating that the Draught Horse Challenge Shield had been offered to and accepted by the Manawatu A. :uid l\ Society, and that the would be annually competed for at Palmers ton.—Received. Tho Northern A. and P. Association I'llangiora) wrote .supplying "information to the conditions and methods of conducting the annual ploughing match.—A vote of appreciation was passed. The secretary reported that tho ladies' committee met last week jwk'l revised the home industries and fancy work schedule, adding several nev classes, and altering several othe « After consideration it was decided to adopt the schedule submitted. Mr Eagle's notice of motion relating to the sending out to all committeemen, eight days previous to da+o of meeting, all such notices of motion, was adopted.
