WORKERS' HOMES.
(To the Editor Wairarapa Ago.)
Sir,—l noticed an article in. your paper re workers' homes, on a five or ten- acre section. Well, Sir. I quite agree with tho views of a prominent Labourite, as 1 think it is time something was done fpr us casual workers, so that we would not be thrown on the Labour market when our season's work was dome. The present system of workers' homes is all right for our town workers, who have permanent jobs, and would not have time to cultivate a largo section. Now t that we have a change of Government, let those who are in charge wake up and not let a few land agents juggle with land suitable for homes, thereby increasing the cost, and bleeding the worker with high rents, 'etc. Hoping to see the five-acre scheme brought into practical operation, as I am anxiously awaiting ail opportu- j nity, of getting a home.—l am, etc., A FAMILY OF NINE. .
