FOOTBOARD RIDING. (Received Last Night, 10.10 o'clock.) SYDNEY, August 11. The .decision of the tramway conductors to enforce tiie regulations against footboard riding, so as to protect themselves from liability in case of accidents, is causing much delay and dislocation of traffic. The department has cautioned several conductors to discontinue the practice. A mass meeting of the Tramway Union lias been called to consider the situation.
