LONDON, August 12. The Third Test match between- theEnglish and South African teams was commenced to-day, before an attendance of 3000. The weather was dull, and the wicket soft. Tancred won the toss, and elected to bat. Taylor and Tancred faced Foster and Barnes. A bad start was made, Tancred bein.r bowled in playing forward to the fourth ball from Barnes. The score was then 12.
