LONDON JUDGING.
(To tho Editor Wairarapa Age.)
Sir, —What is tho matter with the : London judging of the McKenzie Clip lam.bs exhibited at the recent show? Evidently someone has blundered. This is how they were placed in London McKay's pen Ist, Perry 2nd, H H.. Beetham 3rd. This seems to me to be absolutely ridiculous. This "teg" class was instituted to prove to the farmer the value of heavy lambs on the London market.
Here are the London nett results, and the trophy should certainly be awarded thus: —Ist prize Booth's pen, total weight 2891b nett result, £1 6s 63d; 2nd prize Booth's pen, 2881b, £1 5s 4d; 3rd prize, Perry's pen, 2761b. £1 4s lid; 4th prize, Buchanan's pen, 2671b, £1 3s 8d ; sth prize, McKay's pen, 2631b, £1 2 S sd. Booth's pen were 261b heavier than McKay's and of 4s 5d more in value. So much for the London am, etc., PIME CANTERBURY.
