MELBOURNE, August 12
The Attorney-General (Hon W, 111. Hughes) has received a letter from Herr Hogo Dahms, of Berlin, stating that a slaughtered bullock, ; laced in a freezing chamber at Berlin, was fot:>:<! f*"i months afterwards to comply 'a >fJi the strict Gernuin reg .hitions.
Regarding the frozen meat trade, the letter urges Australia to push trade in meat. in Germany, and adviras that the method of dressing should be altered in accordance with European requirements. The Commonwealth should seek an international conference, with a view to obtaining uniformity in the regulations. This would mean that shipments could be directed to whatever European market at the time being offered the best returns.
