ANNUAL MEETING'. The eleventh annu.il meeting of then .Masterton Co-operative' Dairy Company wa& held on Saturday afternoom. Mr J. C. Ewiiigton, Chairm.rn of Directors, presided, and there was a. full attendance of directors, and a. good attendance of shareholders. The chairman, in moving the/ado p-. tion of the report and balance-sheet, explained the altered and ■improvedmethod of presenting the accounts, anil expressed pleasure at the re*, suits cf the year's wording. Ho .stated that even better results might hive been gained had they consigned th© output instead of selling. lii adopting the latter course they had acted on very strong advice. Indication® for .the'coming year pointed to a good market for butter, and thev had the best authority that the prices for cheese wovdd tend to be .lower than, tho&e of last year. The directors lnd a valuation taken of all the company's property, and | after a liberal allowance, they fomid that th 0 values were practically the ' same ay m the b00k.3, hence it was. not deemed necessary to write off a sum for depreciation. . He personally . thought it right that a dividend should be paid on share capital subscribed, but one cf their largest shareholders, who wa<s met a: supplier, moved that dividend should he paid, but t(fc strengthen their position bv increasing, the final payment to supplier. This was decided upon. Mr W. H. Buiek seconded the motion for the adoption of the report and bahnce-shcet, which was carried unanimouslv. Mrcsrs W. H. Buiek, J. E. Kjesrup, C. A. Wnll, and C. Harper were elected Directors <for the ensuing year. Mr James Milne was re-elected auJitor of the company. Hearty votes of thanks were acceded, to the Chairman, directors, manager, secretary and the staff.
