GRAZING RUNS.
(To the Editor Wnirarapa Age.) Sir, —I am not a subscriber to any newspaper, thereiore I am generally a bit behind with the news, but to-day I happened to get hold of an old copy <rf the Dominion, and while looking over it I noticed a deputation of grazing and leaseholders of Ihuraua and their spokesman waited on Mr Masaey and modestly asked him to grant them a renewal at about 2-J- per cent, increase. What I am getting at is a statement made by tho spokesman, MiMcGregor his name was. Well, Mr McGregor said he had asked some settlers if this land were cut up into 100-acre sections wo 1 !Id you take it lip? All of them had answered no, we simply could not do it. I reckon he must have asked '"cockies" that already had, say, 500 or GOO acres; not likely they want to start again on 100. But give the likes of me and others a show that haven't got any laud, and I don't think lie would find it go begging. I may tell Mr McGregor there n»*o worse places than Ihuraua for dairying, although ho doesn't seem to think so. I have been at the game "before. About metal. I only wish I Iwid a Is for every load of metal in this district, then someone elso could have tho section. —I am. etc., —IHURAUA.
