MAN CRUSHED TO DEATH

Meagre details to band intimate that a man named William Martin, hailing from Australia, was killed at Otira tunnel this afternoon at 4 o'clock. Deceased was caught in the tunnel by the engine rake of truck* and crushed to death. An inquest will be held to-morrow.
