WILL STAND BY BPiTAIN PERMANENT POLICY NECESSARY. (Received August 0, l."> p.m.) OTTAWA, August o. Tho Hon. G. E. Foster, Minister for Trade and Customs, says that the Prime Minister (Mr 11. L. Bordon) lias shown that Canada is resolved to stand by the Empire in fair weather or foul. Mr Borden !:;;d made It plain that a permanent policy of Empire defonco Avas necessary, with a consulting voice for Canada. The importance of the overseas Dominions was realised by Great Britain now.
