TRANSPORT WORKERS SEEKING UNITY
THEIR MAJESTIES' CONTRIBUTION TO RELIEF FUND.

LONDON, August 4. Following on the disbanding °f the Strike Committee a movement is starting to unite all the transport workers in one union. His Majesty King George has contributed £SOO and Queen Mary £IOO to the women's and children's fund in connection with the dock strike.

The Archbishop of Westminster (Rev Francis Bourne), speaking at the Catholic Congress at Norwich, said the Catholic Church never hesitated to encourage trade unionism, but no labour struggle could the Ten Commandments. The men had to -recognise the employers' rights. These had been opposed, hut they did not thereby cease to exist.
