CUP COMPETITIONS. (Received this rooming, 12.20 o'clock.) •SYDNEY, August 3. The tennis competitions for tho Mars-Buckley Cup have opened between New South Wales and Queensland. Now South Wales was in a good position when rain stopped the play. Victoria is not competing owing to the decision to hold the contest separ«to from the inter-State championships.
