ROSENTHAL MURDER CASE AN INFORMER SHOT DEAD. - (Received August 1, 11 a^n.) NEW YORK, July 31. James Yero'.la, the proprietor of the Dante Cafe, was shot .dead this morning. The attaches at District-Attorney Whitman's office believe that the murder was due to revenge for the betrayal of a dago, Frank Cirofco, who was « member of the automobile party which killed Hermann Rosenthal.
William Lorenzo, a notorious gunman, and Albert Contento have been arrested for the murder. Lorenzo is believed to have been delegated to murder Verella. Sworn statements in connection with the police "graft" case declare that the police collected 2,400,000 dollars from gambling houses annually in return for their protection.
