MAKE YOUR OWN HAIR TONIC.
In a recent issue the lady's Real/n of London published a special article on the earo of the hair, in which was given the formula for a home-made •hair tonic that was highly recommended for its rembirkabte hair-growing tpiloporties, as .well 'as for stopping falling hair, revitalizing the hair roots,, and destroying the dandruff germ. This article wais of special interest to me, as the formula was one which I, myself, have seen used in countless eases with (most astonishing benefit, thus confirming any belief that home-made- hair preparations are the heist. For the benefit of those who have not seem it 'before, I give 'lie formula herewith. Procure from your chemist a fourounce bottle ecntatuung three ounces of Bay Jinan, oik? ounce of Lavona dc Compeseo (Smith's) and \ dram Menthol Orystails. Dissolve the crystals in the Bay Rum, 'and then add the Lavona de Composee; shake thoroughly and apply night and morning to the roots of the 'hair, rubbing into tire- sculp with the finger tips. This .preparation contains no colouring matter, hut restores grey hair to its original colour by its action on, the hair roots. If you'desir _ifc .perfumed, add half a spoonful of French Fon Flour perfume, winch combines perfectly ! with tiie other ingredients, and imj parts a most pleasing scent. (Do not I app>- where hair is not desired).*
