MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
ORDINARY MEETING. The ordinary meeting of the Masterton Borough Co-unciJ was held in the Cbuncil Chambers last evening, there being present,— Ors. J. Eilliott, (in the chair), H. J. O'Leary, F. W. Temple, W. Candy, W. Pragnall, J. C.. E'wmgtcn, J. P. Prentice, A. Donald., E'. Flanagan. . A letter was received from a ratepayer, complaining of damage done to his property in 'PowmaJl Street, caused by overflow of water, owing to the culvert being too small to carry .off the s/torm water, and asking that steps be taken ito prevent a further ii&petition elf this awrioyantce and damage to property. It was decided that (the matter be left in the hands of the Borough Engineer. A petition was received from ratepayers and roekknte ill Jldgg Crescent, ttWvillg aittenticini of the Council to the impassable state of the footpath ii* that locality, and asking that the (matter receive •■ he Council's attention. Or O'Leary stated that the street in question was in a very bad state, and was nTueJj in, need of attention.
