; COPENHAGEN, July 28. Mr jMikel&Mi and Jus companion Ivcirseijj suffered terrible liardships. in crossing the ice from Denmark "Firth to Shannon Island. Most of their dogs died, and the remainder were shot for food. They wero successful in finding the Me Melius Eridusen's diary in Denj mark Farth. It shams 'Erchsen discovered that the Peary Channel does not nun through from seu. to sea behind Hazen. and Halprin Lands, also that Navy Ofc'ff is connected with BTnljwiaijgund. Mess-r's Mfkelsen and Iversen have arrived nt Aaalesund, in Norway. The MikkeLse.'i expedition went out in 3910 in search of papers left by the late Myliusi Erieshsen. The expedition lost its vessel on ifive East Green- ' land coast, but the search was continued, and the body &f Brohind, one of Erich son's companion®, was found and buried. Mr Miikke-laon himself, accompanied by Iversen, started for Denmark Fiord, where ho hoped to; find the pa-pers, intending tiien to cross, to Cape York. The other members of the party returned, linme. Anxiety \j-ae felt for the safety of the explorers, who have now, however, safely'.returned.
