TYPOGRAPHICAL UNION
(By Telegraph — Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. Tlie Wellingt<*i Typographical Union celebrated the attainment of- its jubilee by a smoke concert last evening. The president (Mr G. E. Barker) was in the chair. There were about 300 persons present, among the guests being the Hon. F. M. B. Fisher (Minister of Customs and Marine), Mr A. H. Hindmarsh. M.P., and Mr D. McLaren, Mayor of Wellington. Apologies were received from the Hon. W. F. Massey (Prime Minister and Minister of Labour), Hon. A. L. Herdman (Minister of Justice), Hon. J. Itigg, M.L.C., and Dr. Newman, M.P. "The Chairman said that during its fifty year's existence,, the main plank of the union had been its reasonableness. It was not a "red revolution" union, Tt was .starting its fifty first year with over £IOOO in its i general fund.
